Healthcare workers are, infact, at high risk of acquiring and trasmitting some relevant vaccine preventable diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pertussis, hepatitis type A and B, influenza... However, in many european and western Country, Italy included, vaccination coverage rates against some of these vaccine preventable diseases are suboptimal both for physicians and nurses.
