Prof. Nitsch-Osuch speaks about the Polish National Immunization Programme as containing recommendations for adult vaccination (for example pneumococcal vaccination, vaccine against influenza,   pertussis, etc.). At the same time the vaccination coverage rate among adults is low. Prof. Nitsch-Osuch says guidelines will soon be produced for the use of physicians and she identifies two strategic actions to increase the vaccination coverage rates in adult population: the role of healthcare workers in promoting vaccination and the possibility to get a reimbursement.
