WAidid video pills: Professor Susanna Esposito on Pain management in children

Professor Susanna Esposito, President WAidid, speaks about the pain management in children, with a focus on drugs and posology for fever and pain, extremely common in pediatric age.
Professor Esposito says that the use of paracetamol is recommended when fever is associated to other systemic symptoms; it should be considered like a reaction to infection or an inflammatory condition.
It is also important to avoid the sensation of pain to children - continues Esposito - because of the possibility to modify his/her pain receptors (the two recommended drugs are paracetamol and ibuprofene).
